Cast the Vision - Delegate the Authority

Being given a vision is an awesome blessing from God.  But with every blessing comes responsibility.  When God entrusted Moses with the vision of the Tabernacle, He immediately instructed Him to call in reinforcements.  There was a need for the craftsmen to arise and for Moses to delegate responsibilities to each able bodied and willing participant.
Do you have a vision?  Well it will never become a reality if you don't learn how to Cast your vision and delegate tasks to your helpers.
Let me share a quote from Vance Havner with you:
"The vision must be followed by the venture.  It is not enough to stare up the steps - we must step up the stairs!"

The launching of a Ministry and the obstacles that hinder

So you've been waiting for your ministry to be launched?
Well don't miss the signs along the way.  Sometimes we have our mind so set on our calling that we forget that there is a process.  In 1 Samuel 16 - 17, we see a very familiar story that wil help guide us to the proper approach to our ministies.  This story helps us understand that we must be busy about our Fathers business, taking every opportunity to praise Him and serve Him.  Just because the opportunity presented doesn't seem to be directly connected with our vision doesn't mean that God hasn't divinely connected those dots.
Let's learn a lesson from David.  Lets follow his story as we see God connect some dots in his ministry life and line him up to be king.

1 Corinthians 12-14 pt2

We are continuing our study of 1 Corinthians 12-14.

In the Church of Corinth there was a problem. Here we find a people; new in faith, abundant in gifts but lacking in love, humility and submission. In their pride and arrogance they began to move in Gods power while trampling upon their fellow brother.

Yes, the manifestation was impressive but the lack of moving in love is appalling! It was causing division and disunity making the movement of the body crippled and lame. Disjointing the legs that carry the message to a dying world.

This, unfortunately paints an accurate picture of the church today. In our arrogance we unintentionally cripple our very own ministries.

When the body functions in complete unity with all the gifts flowing freely, then you will have a healthy, whole, walking, talking, seeing, smelling, reaching, touching, grabbing, changing, Church of Yeshua that changes a world!

1 Corinthians 12-14 part 1

Join me in an in depth study of the Church of Corinth.
Paul had a dilemma on his hands, he had a group of newly Sanctified Saints who were abundant in gifts yet moving in ignorance.  This ignorance caused schisms and divisions within the church body that had to be addressed.  Paul was faced with a people who refused to divorce the culture of their past, therefore corrupting the blessings of their future.
I believe that chapters 12, 13 & 14 should be taught together, in order to fully understand the depth of some of Paul's statements.  A three-fold cord is not easily broken and this is why Paul intertwines gifts, Love & function, all together.
In chapter 12 we read as Paul address their new gifts and how the spirit manifested Himself.
In chapter 13 he teaches them to move in these gifts and approach each other in true Agape love.
And finally in chapter 14, Paul wraps up this issue as he address how to take the gifts, apply the love and properly "function"  with the overall benefit of all!

The Branch - The Remnant

Throughout the scriptures we see references of things like; The Branch, the shoot, the grafting, the remanent and so on.  This study is meant to clarify the true meaning of such terminology.  Too often we are misled in the early stages of our beliefs and we ignorantly carry on those little errors.  These errors will cause us to misunderstand or even not understand the intended meaning of the sciptures.
In Romans 11 Paul speaks to us regarding a true remnant.   This chapter in the bible has been so mistaught in many different aspects.  We can not look at this chapter in the bible and know the depths of its meaning without doing some research and investigation on the writer and his mind set.  I do this "investigation" ; not by way of speculation but by knowing the writers backgroung and heritage.  Which happens to be centered around his Jewishness.
Lets take a look at a very misunderstood chapter in the bible!

Christ in Hanukkah

The most wonderful thing about the Jewish Holy days, are that Christ is the fulfillment of them all.  The story of Hanukkah is told in the historical book of the Maccabees.  Learning more about Hanukkah gives us a deeper revelation as to  why Jesus proclaimed to be the Light.

Anxious Anticipation

As Advent is being celebrated in many of our Churches it urges us to, not only reflect but expect.   As Christmas day draws closer we look back and remember that He came, He was born, He lived, He died and He rose again.  But Advent is much more than that because as we remember His 1st coming, simultaneously we also expect His 2nd coming!  Anxious Anticipation should flood our hearts as we wait to reunite with Our Messiah!  Paul calls it, "Earnest Expectations".  Are you anxiously anticipating His arriving or are you hoping that He tarries?  Listen in and be  passionately stirred with earnest expectations of His coming!

God will BREAK a man in order to MAKE a man

We are like a green (wild) horse. A horse naturally resists pressure; whether it be from a saddle, a harness or even a rider. Because it is in his will to remain free of restraint.  Little by little the weight of these pressures will BREAK him in order to MAKE him an obedient servant to his master.
God will allow the pressures of life to break our will. But in turn we have something a wild horse can never have; the ability to enjoy our physical liberties while being harnessed by our spiritual convictions and devotion to our Master! It is only then that we are humble enough to help others through their "breaking".

Sheath The Sword?

At the beginning of the Disciples ministry Jesus launched them out with instructions to take no provisions.  No money bag, no back pack, no extra saddles & so on.  They were launched into a small region with no provisions other than their faith and they were in need of nothing.  Their territory was small and their audience (as instructed by Jesus) was to their own people.
However, before the arrest of Christ, their instructions changed.  Where once they were told not to have these things, now they were told to pick them up.  Why did Jesus change His mind?  Why were they told one thing one minute and one thing the next?  Simple!  Their mission changed!  Where once they were in the own territory, now they were being launched world wide!
Don't get confused when what God told you to do in the past doesn't line up with your intended future.  It does not mean you misheard Him, it simply means that your mission has changed.  When missions change provisions change.  The disciples didn't rebuke Jesus for seemingly contradicting His previous intructions.  NO!  They applied their new instructions to their new mission.
Do you have "new" instructions from the Lord today?  Then get ready for a change of wind because your mission has just changed directions.
