An enemy is anyone or anything that puts itself in an aggressive stance against your right to survive or thrive. The Hebrew word for enemy shows something or someone who "cramps", "presses" or "infringes" upon you or your territory.
Davids enemy was King Saul a fellow Israelite, Nehemiah enemy was Tobiah (also an Israelite) and even Jesus had to face Judas, a fellow Jew. Enemies are not always going to be obvious, sometimes they appear to be on the same side or even come with a hand shake and a smile. However, obvious or not, the fact is, that anyone or anything that keeps you from being productive in your calling, has become an obstacle of hinderance.
These are not the times to be cowardice. We must face all resistance, take a stand and reveal the plans and shceemes of the enemy with light. The days of ignoring or sweeping under the rug are over! We must STAND, we must Face and we must EXPOSE!

Every Bride desires to stand perfectly before her lover on her wedding day. She makes sure that her dress is clean and pressed, her make up is flawless, her hair is a master piece and her bouquet is exquisite. But what happens when the flowers don’t arrive, the hair doesn’t cooperate, and the extra weight we’ve put on, pops our zipper? Do we call the wedding off? Or do we turn away from the mirror just long enough to face our lover and realize that in His eyes we are perfect!
The reality of who we are leads us to the realization of who He is in us. To be brutally honest about yourself will always bring you to your knees empty, before the only one who can fill those needs. Facing our failures and frailties helps us to realize that perfection is not capable in and of our own accord. But as born again Christians, thank God we have the Perfect one within us.
Its time to face up to the fact that God never expected us to become perfect but we are MADE perfect by His spirit. So stop beating your head against the "wall of standards" that religion has sized you up against and learn what the scripture has to say about Spiritual perfection!

Turn with me to Matthew 5:48

Isaiah 26:1-3 Tells us that within the walls of our salvation we find a place that is so safe we can let our gard down and stay our minds upon Him. As we choose to loose ourselves in His presence He then begins to impart to us His Perfect Peace as we surrender ourselves to Him. He saturates us and permiates us with His Perfect Peace, not so we can hord it up for ourselves but so we can impart that peace to those in turmoil. In Matthew 10:11-14 Jesus gives us instructions on how to effectively impart His Peace to those who are worthy. You are a steward to His Peace, what are you doing with it?
As you stand on the edge of your yesterday peering into the hope of a new tomorrow, do it with new attitude. So often we are given chances to start fresh and new. With excitement we quickly forge ahead. We drive forward with vim and vigor only to end up with forfeit and defeat. Today's message will help you to move forward with a fresh start as you reflect on the past. Reflection is needed in order to do a self examination It will allow you to take your failures and turn them into life lessons. To set goals that are not only reasonable but attainable. How can you set a goal for tomorrow if you still haven't figured out why you failed at reaching your goal yesterday? Lets look at the new opportunities God has given us with some wisdom and insight, so we can succeed, achieve and rise above!
 #01052010

We are continuing our study of 1 Corinthians 12-14.

In the Church of Corinth there was a problem. Here we find a people; new in faith, abundant in gifts but lacking in love, humility and submission. In their pride and arrogance they began to move in Gods power while trampling upon their fellow brother.

Yes, the manifestation was impressive but the lack of moving in love is appalling! It was causing division and disunity making the movement of the body crippled and lame. Disjointing the legs that carry the message to a dying world.

This, unfortunately paints an accurate picture of the church today. In our arrogance we unintentionally cripple our very own ministries.

When the body functions in complete unity with all the gifts flowing freely, then you will have a healthy, whole, walking, talking, seeing, smelling, reaching, touching, grabbing, changing, Church of Yeshua that changes a world!

Join me in an in depth study of the Church of Corinth.
Paul had a dilemma on his hands, he had a group of newly Sanctified Saints who were abundant in gifts yet moving in ignorance. This ignorance caused schisms and divisions within the church body that had to be addressed. Paul was faced with a people who refused to divorce the culture of their past, therefore corrupting the blessings of their future.
I believe that chapters 12, 13 & 14 should be taught together, in order to fully understand the depth of some of Paul's statements. A three-fold cord is not easily broken and this is why Paul intertwines gifts, Love & function, all together.
In chapter 12 we read as Paul address their new gifts and how the spirit manifested Himself.
In chapter 13 he teaches them to move in these gifts and approach each other in true Agape love.
And finally in chapter 14, Paul wraps up this issue as he address how to take the gifts, apply the love and properly "function" with the overall benefit of all!

We are like a green (wild) horse. A horse naturally resists pressure; whether it be from a saddle, a harness or even a rider. Because it is in his will to remain free of restraint. Little by little the weight of these pressures will BREAK him in order to MAKE him an obedient servant to his master.
God will allow the pressures of life to break our will. But in turn we have something a wild horse can never have; the ability to enjoy our physical liberties while being harnessed by our spiritual convictions and devotion to our Master! It is only then that we are humble enough to help others through their "breaking".

In 2 Samuel 13 we read a tragic story of what happens when a man allows external pressures to expose an internal desire. In Ephesians 2:2 we are told that satan is the force in the air upon the earth that squeezes us and pressures us to walk according to the course of this world. But no matter how hard he squeezes us from the outside we must not cave in, because we are shaped from the inside by the Holy Spirit who forms in as we yield to Him. Romans 12:2 teaches us that conformance is and external influence making an internal impact (if yielded to). But transformation takes place when the Holy Spirit’s internal influence makes an external impact.
Discouragement happens to the best of us. What do we do when we have become discouraged? How do we rekindle our passion when it has become dry? Jesus set His face like flint toward Jerusalem (Luke 9:51), He stayed the course for the mission in His life and He pressed forward with determination, despite the pain that was before Him.
Todays message is meant to encourage the discouraged and strengthen the weary to stay the course and fight the good fight.
